特記:本文《系統學》,乃湯奕天教授原創名詞。湯教授係 Utah State University經濟學博士及University of Rhode Island 應用數學博士。現任 Salve Regina University經濟學教授,並曾任該校經濟系主任十餘年。著有 Systematics and the Economics of Culture (Frankfurt: Peter Lang, 2009)一書,其中、英論文,則散見於各學術期刊。湯教授於「前言」中表示希望,在遠程的展望之中,經由此《系統學》的進路,能多少撥開西方文化的迷思及促進東方文化的發展,而終究助益人們美好生活的追求與世界和平的進展。至於近程的目的,則希望為研究當前東亞大、小國及美國的文化與文化經濟發展出一有力的嶄新方法。
