Dreams

Born in 2003 ,young author Audrey Chiang is a 7th grader at Castillero Middle School .She loves writing, reading ,drawing, and going to the beach.

A creak of springs,

A cover, pulled to the chin

A head laid down to rest. . .

Lids closed over weary eyes

A breath of air-

A tired sigh. . .

Falls under the blanket--

Cast by the faeries of dreams

A state of might, yet such a simple thing

Dreams pull one forward,

Through the world of night

Riding on a ghostly boat

Gliding on without a fight

Wispy clouds of dazedness

Crown the head

Robes of sluggishness

Drape the shoulders

An expression of utter bliss

Drifts to the sleepy face

Memories, fantasy, the unknown

all woven, and all sewn

Into a drape of a dream

Lovely and imaginary, down to every seam

Dreams go on. . .

Running, running running,

So fast you can't catch up with it. .

As you finally wake to a new day. . .

You forget your journey through the Land of Dreams

And greet the morning

A smile on your face.
