"Nightfall"

Born in 2003 ,young author Audrey Chiang is a 7th grader at Castillero Middle School .She loves writing, reading ,drawing, and going to the beach.

Slowly, slowly, slowly,  the sun gradually sinks,

turning a dazzling gold, setting the blue sky to pink

 A whisper in the air

 Stress of the day lost,

 floating, floating, floating. . . off

Golden droplets fall, dipping green leaves gold

Changing the nature, to a whole different mold

Of beauty. . .

Without a single warning, the sun disappears

The sky fades

Into the shade. . .

Indigo

The velvet blanket of dusk, is studded with jewels

The stars twinkle--ever brighter

They sing a song to the Earth

The Earth smiles back

As the Moon arises. . .

shedding her rippling cloak of black

Her beams fall upon the grass, the trees, announcing arrival of night. .

Soon they are bathed in silver. . .a blue-white bath of heavenly light

Stillness, hushes the last twittering birds

Stillness, brings back the memories,

Stillness, presents those sweet and simple dreams

Stillness, falls upon everything
