每到十月，從太平洋彼端回顧台湾海峡，總有一些感慨。雖然少女時代就已随家人移民美國，對自己的根依然有切不断的愛，於是抒發為詩，并把中英文两個版本都配上畫面，放上Youtube, 給全世界關懷海峡两岸問题的所有人士分享：https://youtu.be/V_mHQ7k166w

秋風關注葡萄藤

染色如酒初釀成

十月飮一心思漢

醉難忘歷史傳承

辛亥十月民國生

己丑十月共黨勝

民國國慶在台慶

只差對岸九天整

處於太平洋彼岸

美籍華裔遠争端

七月四日新國慶

為何回顧十月難

養父母视如己出

仍關懷親生父母

心胸宽大擁双方

全心赤誠最自如

上世紀革命血光

本世紀談和至上

讓秋葉和平墜落

為地球撫平創傷

October

Autumn breezes focus on grape vines,

Turning them into hues of wines.

But when a Chinese heart drinks October's spirits,

Insobriety cannot fade memories of historical lines.

October 1911, the Republic of China came into flower;

Thirty-eight more Octobers came and went before Communists seized power.

The re-built republic in Taiwan still celebrates every October

Nine days after Mainland China's most festive hour.

Across the Pacific Ocean,

Chinese Americans have escaped the confrontation.

With a new love for July 4,

Why look back upon the two Octobers' confusion?

But in a happy foster family,

Adopted children still care about their biological history.

Big hearts can embrace both

With all sincerity.

The 20th century shed too much blood for revolutions;

The 21st century must seek reconciliations.

Let autumn foliage fall peacefully

To bring the wounded earth redemptions.
